Senior Financial Business Analyst

Ubisoft, a global leader in the video games and entertainment software industry, is currently seeking a full-time Senior Financial Business Analyst for its Business Solutions team within IT. This individual will report to the Manager, Business Applications and will be responsible for analyzing, supporting and improving Ubisoft’s financial and accounting processes and systems.

 

This is an internal consultancy role focused on enabling technology while performing business and system process improvement. Business Solutions works on behalf of internal clients to provide expertise in portfolio management, program and project management, process improvement, business analysis, solutions support, and technical publications to help Ubisoft achieve its strategic goals.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:Act as a trusted advisor to the Finance and Accounting organizations and support their training, reporting and general usage needsLead business process analysis and process improvement activitiesAct as a liaison between the business side of the enterprise and the various IT support teamsPerform detailed analysis on assigned projects, provide leadership to the business on potential solutions and enable effective decision making by the business  Collaborate with any international team members as neededWork with helpdesk and development teams to maintain and improve existing financial tools/systems to support continuing operationsElicit, analyze, validate and document business, organizational and/or operational requirementsDeliver training and business process documentation on solutionsAssist the helpdesk team when needed in order to aid users in troubleshooting and daily issuesOn assigned projects, manage scope, time, cost and quality; escalate issues in a timely manner; and facilitate organizational change

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a bachelors degree and 5 to 8 years’ progressive experience in financial management process improvement and systems implementationSeveral years’ experience in a business analyst or financial analyst role requiredProficiency in GL, AP, PO processes required with eProcurement, cash management, planning & budgeting, and financial reporting preferredPeopleSoft 8.8+ preferred and Hyperion Financial Management desiredSolid understanding of the reporting cycle required (from accounting transaction to corporate reporting through month-end processes and audit requirements) Excellent written and oral communications—interpersonal skills a mustProven ability to work with all members of a project team, including business, technical, and managementMust be extremely organized and capable of tracking, managing, and resolving many issues simultaneouslyAbility to function effectively in a fast paced environment and manage multiple concurrent projectsProficient with Microsoft Office applications including Visio requiredAbility to trouble shoot and diagnose using SQL, Application Designer, and core PeopleSoft tables preferredExperience with end user training preferredExperience managing projects from beginning to end desired Experience with any of the following is a plus: enterprise planning and budgeting, cost management, retailer distribution business models, CPG industriesExperience working across organizational boundaries on a local and global basis a plusAbility to speak French is a plusAbility to travel (up to 20%).
