Title: Senior Brewer Quality Engineer

 

Reports to: Brewer Quality Manager

 

Date:  June 16, 2008 

 

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

 Facilitate Keurig brewer quality assurance by supporting new product development, continuing product engineering, and product improvement activities Direct/ perform brewer verification/ validation tests, life tests, and ongoing product audit activities  Perform quality system and process audits of contract manufacturers and component/ material  suppliersPerform and/or review First Article InspectionsPerform and/or supervise analysis of brewer returns to identify root cause, and coordinate corrective/preventive action activityMaintain and publish management reports detailing brewer field issue trends, analysis findings, product audit results, and other quality related information Other related duties as required

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS & CAPABILITIES

 BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering 7 - 10 years relevant experience in electromechanical and/or electronic product industriesStrong working knowledge of statistical analysis, problem solving tools, sampling plans, metrology, process optimization, SPC, DOE, quality management systems, etc. Quality system management and auditing experienceExpertise in spreadsheet, statistical analysis, database, test control, and word processing software Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, hands-on environmentExcellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work well with all internal functions, customers, suppliers, and external partners Up to 30% domestic and international travel requiredASQ Certified Quality Engineer, Certified Quality Auditor, and/ or other relevant certifications desirable.
