Sales/Use Tax Accountant

Acushnet Company, home to the leading brands in golf (Titleist, FootJoy and Cobra Golf) has an exciting opportunity for a Sales/Use Tax Accountant. In this position you will be responsible for assisting with the day to day activities of the company's sales/use tax compliance in a multi-state manufacturing environment. This includes ensuring compliance with sales and use tax laws, managing the preperation of sales and use tax returns for all jurisdictions, providing information to and resolving disputes with auditors from taxing jurisdictions. In addition you will review the reconciliation of sales/use tax general ledger accounts; research and develop responses to audit issues; and analyze and import monthly tax files for all divisions.

 

The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting and have two plus years of tax experience in a big four accounting firm or a large corporate tax department. Addtionally, need to be proficient with excell spreadsheets; pivot tables; word processing and financial and tax oriented programs. Experience with Vertex preferred but not required.
