Sales Planning Analyst
Excellent opportunity for a high performing Sales Analyst in a private equity backed Consumer Packaged Goods turn-around. Entrepreneurial, fast paced environment working with other professionals who thrive on developing a successful organization competing in a multi-billion dollar category.
The Sales Analyst will leverage his/her creative skills to develop reporting tools to help sales management team understand business performance vs. planned objectives, and provide Sales personnel actionable tools to manage their business. Sales Analyst will also support initiatives in areas of Sales Operations, Trade Planning and Trade Marketing.
Responsibilities include providing insightful analysis in the areas of:
· Sales Operations
o Track and interpret field sales forecasts and provide roll-up to support S&OP process
o Maintain tools to track and communicate performance vs. previous periods, objective and forecast.
· Trade Planning
o Work with sales planning team to analyze annual customer plans, insuring they support marketing initiatives during key promotional time periods, and adhere to established spending guidelines.
· Trade Marketing / Category Management
o Provide key insights to support category management initiatives at retail customers, utilizing syndicated data to provide actionable information to HQ and Field Sales team.
Qualifications
· Bachelor’s Degree
· 1-3 years analytical experience, preferably within CPG industry
Critical Skills:
· Entrepreneur spirit and resourcefulness to not stop until a solution is found
· Ability to thrive in a fast paced, low-resourced environment
· Self driven and motivated with a high degree of ownership and initiative, requiring limited direction
· Extremely strong computer skills, including advanced MS Office and ability to quickly learn proprietary platforms used to manage our business
