Our company is seeking high energy, motivated individuals to seize ownership of assigned sales territory to improve company position in retail outlets serviced to achieve maximum sales. The Sales Merchandiser will be responsible for executing all headquarter sales and merchandising objectives at retail in assigned territory. The Merchandiser will work toward establishing relationships at retail that facilitates the company’s, and retailer’s, overall sales objectives and goals to create win-win result. This will be for the POM Wonderful and Paramount Farms products only.
Summary of Job Functions:Maintain route frequency for responsible territory as assigned to build/establish retail relationships. Develops/maintains relationships with retailer produce field operations personnel and supervisors to facilitate account penetration. Educate/assist/inform produce managers concerning all Roll product issues and marketing objectives and programs. Sell/up-sell/monitor retail distribution of all headquarter-authorized products for all stores in assigned territory as needed and as store situation dictates. Rotate, stock all company authorized products as needed on every store call. Remove all out-of-code and/or substandard product from shelves on all calls. Maintain schematic integrity or better and re-merchandise to retailer-mandated schematic compliance on all store calls as applicable. Build/move displays and/or product to establish best location for sales on all company products as necessary in assigned stores. Merchandise and maintain company products and sets to comply with “best practices’ as established and as per company-established store call procedure. Monitor and maintain retail integrity and compliance on all store calls. Execute/maintain/monitor all company-driven marketing initiatives and programs for all stores in assigned territory as applicable including maintenance of POS and coupon/tie-in programs as assigned. Interact with consumers at shelf to secure brand loyalty on all Roll product lines by distributing coupons and consumer-specific marketing materials. Provide chain specific information and communication on daily basis as needed and as requested by supervisor. Assist/participate in all retailer re-set and or re-merchandising projects as needed including grand openings/re-models as requested by retailer. Using company provided information-gathering technology to record in-store data on every store call to support HQ sales initiatives and programs. Maintains all company provided equipment and material in acceptable working order and condition.
Position Requirements:Must be a self-starter and able to work independently Must be able to work effectively in the team environment as needed Retail Produce, Merchandising or Sales experience will be given primary consideration College degree will be given primary consideration Organized and able to prioritize/multi-task Must have outstanding communication / inter-personal skills. Bi-Lingual a plus. Adaptable individual essential for changing environment Must be able to travel overnight or longer for occasional team or re-set activity as needed.
Abilities Required:Clean driving record is required – a background check will be conducted. Able to work flexible schedule as needed. Must be able to lift 50lbs. with no restrictions Must have PC - Computer literate and ability to proficiently navigate MS Outlook, Word and Excel is required.
