Position: SC Network Analyst
This is a new role reporting to the SC Network Optimization Manager for the Hair PG based in Chicago. The Supply Chain Network Analyst will support medium/long-term capacity planning in terms of ensuring appropriate bandwidth, contingencies and optimization. Role directly supports the SC Network Optimization Manager to not only optimize the current network but continually look for step change opportunities within a supply chain network. This role will also be accountable with systems integration within the product group, supporting both the plant/comake and supplier run strategies.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Support development of capacity and constraint models for supply networks
• Help deliver VIP projects across supply network opportunities and reporting output
• Serve as system integration champion
• Develop analytical tools and visibility to reduce inventory and increase service metrics
• Partner with capacity network planners to build proper capability for long-term capacity planning
Challenges:
• Metric trade-off between service and inventory, plant OEE’s and cycle reduction
• Transition management of activities
• Working on long term improvement while fixing short term constraints
• Communication across a number of business sub-categories
• Data accuracy of current network metrics
• Translating technical data into meaningful business language
Scope:
• Planning and analysis for the $1.2 billion PCL business in North America.
• Network encompassing up to 10 FG sites and numerous key supplier sites.
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Finance, Business, Logistics, Engineering, Mathematics and/or Statistics
Work Experience:
• 1-4 years combined experience in any of the following areas: SC planning, Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, and/or Engineering
• Have good blend of practical knowledge of supply chain, financial analytical skills with some technical understanding, and business awareness.
• Clear demonstration of leadership, team commitment, and influencing others
• Clear demonstration of project management, results orientation and working mathematical models
• Knowledge of planning systems a plus: Manu, SAP, etc (technical orientation)
• APICS certification a plus
