High Volume Installers are paid by the job. NJ STATE ALARM LICENSE REQUIRED for all external candidates. Please provide alarm license information on resume.Responsibilities:The high volume program was created in 1989 for the residential and small business markets where an installation could be completed by one person in 8 hours or less. Responsible for all systems installed for 30 days after installation and will coordinate and conduct service appointments as necessary with customer without reimbursement. High volume installers are paid per installation; whereas, hourly installers are paid by the hour and typically handle the carriage trade business, resales, and add-ons. Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Installs appropriate devices; dismantles and reconstructs equipment as required by customer or ADT. Conducts service calls and prewires residences. Works safely and responsibly to avoid injuries, damage to property, loss of unused materials and cleans up installation debris. 2. Contacts customers prior to the date of scheduled installation to verify schedule.3. Prepares estimates in accordance with prescribed instructions or directions of supervisor. 4. Follows proper schematic wiring diagrams and hook-up procedures. Tests operation of system to the signal-receiving center to properly establish service. Reads building, electrical and sprinkler blueprints as required. 5. Coordinates installations with police/fire departments and handles necessary records for notification of emergency calls.Requirements:Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Some technical school training desired.Experience: 6 months of on-the-job training or classroom training. Skills: Ability to read blue prints and schematic drawings. Ability to operate hand and power tools. Ability to operate fleet vehicle in a safe manner at all times. Ability to communicate and provide excellent customer service. Other: Valid driver’s license.
