For over 35 years, RoomService Amenities (RSA) has been a leading supplier of personal care and guest room products to the luxury hotel, spa, casino, cruise line, and resort markets. We are a well established, family owned business based in central New Jersey with distribution on both the East and West coasts. Our website is www.roomserviceamenities.com.
Â
As a result of our growth, we are creating a new full time entry-level position in our Purchasing/Operations Department.  The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and numeric skills, intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel/Word/Outlook, and a basic understanding of accounting functions. Experience with importing/exporting a plus. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent college graduate or someone with several years’ relevant experience. Â
Â
Primary Responsibilities
Organize and maintain the production schedule based on analysis of sales trends and inventory levels. Plan and manage product allocations at several distribution points. Provide usage estimates and issue purchase orders to ensure appropriate inventory levels are maintained and product turnover is optimized.  Working closely with management and the sales team, you will review projects and adjust the production schedule accordingly.
Evaluate and select quality supply sources both domestically and internationally. Provide suppliers with detailed descriptions, drawings, photos, quantities, timing, target costs and delivery requirements. Communicate product information to the sales team concisely.Â
Issue purchase orders and track the status of shipments to ensure target dates are met. Work with domestic and international vendors, steamship lines, trucking companies, brokers and U.S. Customs.
Ensure that products are being manufactured according to specifications and quality standards.Â
Â
Salary commensurate with skills and experience. The company offers medical benefits and a pension plan.Â
