Mizkan Americas, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of vinegars, mustards, cooking wines, Asian sauces and dressings, and a variety of other liquid condiments.  We offer a broad array of branded and private label products and service customers in the Retail, Foodservice, and Food Ingredients trade classes from multiple production facilities located throughout the United States.  Mizkan Americas, Inc. is privately held by the Mizkan Group Corporation, which is one of the most well respected food companies in Japan and the largest producer of vinegar in the world.

 

We are currently seeking a Bottling Supervisor for the Dallas plant, which produces bottled private label vinegar for retail customers, bulk vinegar for industrial customers, and also distributes other Mizkan Americas products.  This facility has bulk manufacturing, blending, and bottling processes.  This is a second shift position.  The Bottling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing 10 hourly production employees and reports to the Plant Manager. 

 

Major responsibilities are as follows:

 Supervise the daily operations of assigned bottling production as consistent with customer and company requirements.Plan, layout, and assign work for bottling line employees in accordance with production schedule.Hire, train, monitor, discipline, evaluate, and develop employees.Enforce organizational policies and rules of conduct.Ensure adherence to applicable quality and manufacturing standards, and GMPs.Analyze and resolve problems relating to product quality, product quantity, processes, materials, scrap, waste, personnel, etc.Record efficiencies ratings to improve yields and throughput.Provide technical assistance to operators in resolution of production problems.Ensure employees maintain good housekeeping conditions and comply with safety and sanitation rules and requirements.Complete required production reports as required.Perform other projects/duties as assigned.

 A minimum of 2 - 4 years of supervisory experience is required.  Experience within the bottling, liquid filling, blending, and/or packaging industries (i.e. salad dressings, sauces, condiments, dairy, soft drinks, bottled water, distilled spirits, brewery, shampoos, and/or other liquefied personal care products) is preferred.  The ideal candidate will be well organized, results oriented, and have effective problem solving ability.  Candidate must possess strong leadership and team building skills.  Ability to interface effectively with people and resolve conflict is required.  Associate degree is preferred.  Bachelors is desirable.  Experience in combination with education will be considered.  Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and AS 400 is desirable.
