Our client, a leading producer of disposable clean up products seeks a strategic leader to manage key on-site operations focused on its popular product lines. Its category leading products continue to provide useful hygienic solutions to Food Service, Jan/San, Industrial and other Commercial customers. Historic demand for these has driven substantial regional, national and international sales. This manufacturer is looking for an individual to head operational strategies focused on site-specific manufacturing supported through its high performance facility located in the South Chicago area. Key leadership responsibilities will include planning as well as execution of programs to produce safe, efficient and effective operations for the facility. To support these activities this person will head a direct reporting production supervisory team focused on shift management, inventory, machine maintenance and production process improvements. Additional duties will include leadership centered around employee training, site improvements, equipment efficiencies, and systems performance tracking. Other key responsibilities will be focuses on development of production employees and shift supervisors to further build team success. Special support will be given to this individual by top facility leaders and Corporate Management team to further develop this individuals success.To qualify for this exciting opportunity you must posses 3 years minimum successful experience focused on production process management within a manufacturing or related industrial production environment. Additional ability to train, motivate, empower and lead a diverse or Unionized personnel group is highly sought in this role. Successful experience working in a high performance work system utilizing strong analytical, organizational and follow-up skills is highly valued. Training in the use of Six Sigma, TQM, Lean Manufacturing, or other process improvement tools will set you apart. A Bachelors Degree in an Engineering field plus related experience or equivalent overall experience is required. First year earnings are expected to be $85K-$95K plus excellent benefits.
