 Production Manager Job Summary

 

The Production Manager position is responsible for leading all efforts related to production and inventory control.  This responsibility includes ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in kit assembly as well as accuracy with inventory control.

 

Production Manager responsibilities include:

 

-  Schedule, deploy, monitor and adjust production activity over two shifts per day

-  Identify work standard variance and implement improvements.

-  Empower and communicate to employees to ensure high productivity with focus on continuous improvement.

-  Implement accurate and efficient material handling and flow to include lot-control and FIFO rotation.

-  Coordinate product issue resolution with Q.A., material handlers and Purchasing.

-  Manage and monitor employees to achieve minimum overtime usage and maximum productivity levels.

-  Foster a work climate of productivity, professional communication and teamwork.

 

Production Manager education, skill and experience will include:

-  BA Degree or related experience.

-  Must possess strong leadership and supervisory skills.

-  3 – 5 years of production management experience.

-  Experience managing diverse workforce of 20 + employees on 2 shifts consisting of Full Time, Part Time and Temporary employees.

-  Experience in continuous improvement methodology; including LEAN.

-  Ability to conduct performance management.

-  Productive team worker.

-  Attention to detail.

-  Adaptive and flexible to change.

-  Proficient computer skills to include production/warehouse specific software .

-  Mechanical aptitude a must.
