Plant Superintendent

Growing company in Chicago Northern Suburbs seeking experienced Plant Manager. Engineering background, production experience in ultra filtration and centrifuge operations is a must. E-mail resumes to anuja@jobsforsuccess.com . This position will manage the daily plant operations related to manufacture of fiber products and specialty emulsions, from receiving raw materials to final product storage and shipping.  This involves the management of the department assets, employees, Employee Health & Safety program, product quality, maintenance, engineering and is accountable for developing and meeting budgets in production volumes, efficiencies, manufacturing costs, and capital expenditures. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Manage day-to-day routine and strategic supervision/development of department employees (managing, training, coaching, and motivating). - Review, monitor and follow-up on areas results.- Manage department costs and budget.- Process optimization, HACCP compliance and third party audits, Best Practices implementation.- Meet customer requirements and capital improvement projects. - Manage employee compliance with Health & Safety programs. - All other related production activities. REQUIREMENTS: - B.S. in Engineering or equivalent demonstrated abilities and experience.  Proven high ethical standards. - Minimum 5 years plant operations or related experience. - Minimum 4 years of corn wet milling production experience. - Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience or demonstrate high level of potential for growth in the areas of managing a department and leading people. - Demonstrated strong leadership skills. - Demonstrated high level of technical ability in unit operations of reverse osmosis, ultra-filtration, centrifugation and drying (in particular drum drying).- Strong communication, organizational and time management skills. - Makes technically and ethically sound decisions. - Understanding of Reliability Centered Maintenance concepts, technologies, and how to apply them.- Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the organization and with outside individuals and organizations. - Willingness to learn and execute process systems.- Experience in planning and optimizing production process to increase efficiencies.  Close familiarity with Statistical Process Control.- Ability to understand complex operation, engineering, and business activities. - Understand the predictive and preventative maintenance model. - Strong execution skills. - Strong ownership. - Good problem solver, who is focused on results. For a complete list of our open positions, please visit our website at www.jobsforsuccess.com.
