JOB TITLE: PLANT MANAGER
JOB LOCATION: IRAQ
MISSION: AMD is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Plant Manager for their international operations. AMD operates six water bottling facilities for the US Military in Iraq. AMD has offices in Salt Lake City, Utah, Kuwait, and Iraq and employs individuals from the US, Mexico, Australia, Romania, India, the Philippines, and Kuwait.

REPORTING TO: Site General Manager
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Direct and coordinate production, processing, and distribution activities of the bottled water production plant.
KEY ACTIVITIES:
· Direct and coordinate production, processing, and distribution activities of the bottled water production plant. Develop plans and strategies for most efficient usage of material, machinery, technology and employees. Propose budgets and approve expenditures for supplies, materials, and human resources, ensuring that materials, labor and equipment are used efficiently to meet production targets.Constantly monitor processing schedules and production to make decisions concerning inventory requirements, staffing requirements, work procedures, and duty assignments. Work with technical department to resolve production or processing problemsOversee receiving, warehousing, and shipping functions. Coordinate with Corporate Purchasing/Logistics Department on all related functions.Develop and carry out budget and cost control measures for all production activities. Involved in or responsible for new equipment and facility projects.Oversee the maintenance and repairs of facility and equipment to ensure that they remain safe, secure, and efficient. Administer all employment, training, performance appraisal and related policies and procedures. Coordinate with Human Resources Department on all related issues. Develop skills of subordinate supervisory staff to meet increasing people management demands.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Bachelor’s degree (Food Science or Industrial Engineering preferred)
· 7-10 years of manufacturing experience with at least 7 years of plant management experience in FOOD / PET.
· Experience in the food packaging industry a PLUS.
· Blow molding and bottling experience a PLUS.
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel
· Knowledge of regulatory guidelines including but not limited to USDA, FDA, HACCP, GMP.
· Ability to develop and maintain budgets
· Broad and diverse knowledge of food/water production processes. Understanding of mechanical and electrical principles.
· Proven track record of effective management and interpersonal skills and must be extremely effective at managing multiple tasks at the same time.
· Effective problem solving skills and a collaborative approach to gathering information.
· Must be self-motivated and able to work effectively in a team environment.Ability to motivate and train staffAdaptability to changing work place and stress tolerance.Attention to detail and strong organizational ability. Proficiency in implementing business modernization initiatives Ability to maintain productive professional relationships with subordinates, superiors and outside vendors/customers
