Mark IV IDS Luminator is a Plano, Texas based manufacturing and engineering company with an excellent opportunity for a Planner.  Luminator is a manufacturer of illumination, communications, and information display products, including bus and rail destination signage, aircraft lighting products, vehicle information systems, and Stationary LED sign systems.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

· Development of master schedule, shop loading and related material management processes to include:

· Production, inventory and material management planning activities utilizing Lean Manufacturing.

· Preparing and updating of the Master Schedule.

· Incorporating critical information from Customer Service, Engineering, Purchasing and Finance departments.

· Coordinating the disposition of obsolete inventory.

· Determining delivery schedules to be relayed to customers.

· Scheduling of off-site products.

· Scheduling of off-shore products.

· Revise schedules according to work order specifications, established priorities and availability of parts, materials, machines and equipment..

 

Qualification Requirements

· College Degree preferred; 3 years experience as Planner, Buyer or both. 

· APIC Certification encouraged.

· AS400 MRP system experience and report writer literate.

· Microsoft Office:  Word, Excel, Outlook.

· Familiar with basic forecasting methodologies such as moving averages.
