Part - Time Safety / HR Specialist

Conte Luna Foods seeks a Part Time Safety and HR Specialist for the Warminster Plant. The position will serve as a link between management and employees. This is a responsible position that involves administering human resources policies, programs and practices: including planning, organizing, developing, implementing, coordinating, and directing.  

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  Administers an effective recruitment program.  Conduct Safety Audits and facilitates monthly safety meetings. Maintains permanent personnel records. Conducts orientation programs. Coordinates benefit program. Responsible for labor relations. Monitors unemployment claims and conducts all appeals. Monitors performance appraisal programs. Coordinates risk management program. Monitors workers’ compensation claims and coordinates work between employee and insurance carrier. Maintains complete attendance records. Responsible for Plant compliance with Federal and State legislation pertaining to all personnel matters. Coordinates and/or conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation. Consults with HR Director as appropriate on personnel matters. Works directly with department managers to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities on personnel matters. Conducts investigations and makes recommendations as appropriate regarding issues of staff disputes and grievances, staff misconduct, and policy infractions; coordinates WRM plant grievance management and related documentation, and provides mediation, advice, or guidance to management in these areas, as appropriate.

 

 

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

Bachelor’s degree; at least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.  Must have HR experience in a maufacturing setting and knowledge of safety issues.
