Packaging Samples Coordinator

Fisher-Price Character Brands is located in bustling downtown Manhattan. Our offices cover two floors in the Barnes & Noble Building on 6th Avenue between 21st and 22nd Streets. This area is also known as the Chelsea District or the Toy District and is the home of the International Toy Fair. 'Responsible to oversee the production of packaging samples required by trade shows, sales meetings, planograms and other events as needed throughout the product development process.'Prepare work for and oversee packaging Samples Assistant.'Responsible for obtaining and organizing the latest packaging graphics and structure designs to create, facilitate and ship packaging samples to appropriate contacts. Obtain latest toy samples from toy designers and take digital images for packaging foam core aspect of presentation mock-ups and Marketing Powerpoint presentations.'Utilize digital cutting machine to cut e-flute, acetate and chipboard materials for presentation mock ups. Maintain quality control of all presentation mockups.'Organize outgoing samples for inspection and to ensure orders are complete and ready to ship.Request new computer software/ hardware, technical support and upgrades for team. Approve product and packaging images for media source website. Facilitate image requests for Sales Department'Provide administrative support for Director, Senior Managers, and Packaging Dept. i.e.: process expense reports, purchase orders, update and distribute reports. and process travel arrangements'Some travel may be necessary. 'Associates Degree or equivalent in Graphic Design, Business (with Graphic Design abilities), packaging development or related.'3-5 years related experience.SKILLS:'Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels.'Strong time management and organizational abilities with excellent follow up skills.'Good communication skills (written and verbal).'Good problem solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs and fulfill them in a timely manner.'Ability to handle a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail. 'Thorough knowledge of MAC OS, Microsoft office and applications such as Photoshop and Illustrator.'Working knowledge of packaging CAD software (Artios CAD)'Must be a self-starter who takes initiative and has a proactive approach to work.
