Job Title: Packaging Mechanic (3-5+ years of experience) Location: Piscataway, NJ Duration: 6-months to PERMANENT POSITION Salary Range: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour *** 12-hour night shift, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. or 3rd shift 10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. *** WORK FOR A GLOBAL MANUFACTURING LEADER. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL NEW JERSEY AREA.  Packaging/Processing Mechanic: SUMMARY:  A Packaging/Processing Mechanic will be responsible for a range of tasks related to the maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading and changing over of packaging lines at the direction of the Senior Technical Supervisor. Skills must include basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and follow all safety rules and requirements Follow written procedures for changing over, preventative maintenance and daily support of packaging and/or processing equipment. Perform maintenance tasks both electrical and mechanical as defined by the Productive Maintenance program. Perform troubleshooting and repair work as directed Analyze routine work and draft written procedures Participation in all aspects of equipment performance projects: quality, safety, productivity, and be held accountable to the equipment performance. Thoroughly and accurately complete required documents, logs, etc. Assist in the organization of the department including ordering part, organizing and inventorying spare parts, organizing and cleaning work areas Provide training and coaching to line operators towards increasing their accountability for technical interventions. REQUIREMENTS: Must be reliable Proven experience with high-speed packaging/processing equipment in a manufacturing environment.
