Job Title: Packaging Mechanic (3-5+ years of experience) Location: Piscataway, NJ Duration: 6-months to PERMANENT POSITION Salary Range: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour *** 12-hour night shift, 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. or 3rd shift 10:30 p.m. – 6:30 a.m. *** WORK FOR A GLOBAL MANUFACTURING LEADER. THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN THE CENTRAL NEW JERSEY AREA.  Packaging/Processing Mechanic: SUMMARY:  A Packaging/Processing Mechanic will be responsible for a range of tasks related to the maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, upgrading and changing over of packaging lines at the direction of the Senior Technical Supervisor. Skills must include basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical, electrical and control systems. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Understand and follow all safety rules and requirements Follow written procedures for changing over, preventative maintenance and daily support of packaging and/or processing equipment. Perform maintenance tasks both electrical and mechanical as defined by the Productive Maintenance program. Perform troubleshooting and repair work as directed Analyze routine work and draft written procedures Participation in all aspects of equipment performance projects: quality, safety, productivity, and be held accountable to the equipment performance. Thoroughly and accurately complete required documents, logs, etc. Assist in the organization of the department including ordering part, organizing and inventorying spare parts, organizing and cleaning work areas Provide training and coaching to line operators towards increasing their accountability for technical interventions. REQUIREMENTS: Must be reliable Proven experience with high-speed packaging/processing equipment in a manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical and electrical experience Demonstrate a good Safety practices by understanding and following all safety rules and requirements, identifying potential safety hazards and working in a neat and orderly manner Possess good communication skills as demonstrated by the ability to understand and follow directions, ask questions to ensure full comprehension and effective communication (verbal and written) of problems, issues and concerns Demonstrate a strong technical aptitude Strong organizational skills as demonstrated by the ability to prioritize work and attack problems in a methodical and organized manner Ability to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose problems Able to work well with others Must be able to work on multiple tasks at the same time and manage one’s time productively Must be able to make decisions in a timely manner, try new solutions and take risks Must demonstrate a strong sense of urgency & drive and rapidly adjust priorities when needed. EDUCATION: High School Diploma Vo-tech/Technical College preferred Please e-mail all resumes to:  kstines@synerfac.com for consideration. Contact Information: Kevin StinesAssistant Branch ManagerSynerfac Technical StaffingPhone: (732) 271-9333Fax: (732) 271-9110E-mail: kstines@synerfac.com
