POSITION SUMMARY
Ensure efficient operation of packaging line equipment in a team-based production environment that manufactures products for the Unilever Home and Personal Care business (Skin-face, Skin-body, Hair, and Personal Wash business categories).

Utilize behaviors that support our plant values of Trust, Respect, Integrity, and Accountability while performing all aspects of the position. Operate and monitor all packaging line equipment necessary to produce orders of finished products. Package the goods in an efficient and high quality manner so as to insure low cost to the business and exceptional customer service. Assist with packaging line changeovers, equipment sanitizations, and maintenance activities. Work cooperatively with all associates, and use initiative in correcting operational problems.

JOB DUTIES
Operate Packaging Line Equipment:
• Start-up, shutdown, changeover and maintain the continuous operations of packaging line equipment so as to meet or exceed the scheduled production requirements.
• Clean (5-S), inspect, troubleshoot, and perform minor adjustments and maintenance to packaging line equipment.
• Inspect semi-finished and finished product for defects and proper quality control information. Check for the correct batch code on the shippers, and accurately fill-out production pallet slips.
• Verify that the correct components, materials, and supplies are present on the line so as to support continuous packing line operations. Load packaging components and materials into the packaging line equipment.
• Pack finished products into shippers. Correctly palletize and shrink-wrap the shippers.
• Understand and follow all One Point Lessons (OPL’s) for the respective packaging lines.

General Responsibilities
• Utilize TPM strategies and data collection tools (5-S, F-Tags, OPL’s, downtime collection sheets, focused improvement activities, and autonomous maintenance) to assist in the understanding of losses and create an environment of continuous improvement by reducing or eliminating losses.
• Actively participate in Autonomous Maintenance and Focused Improvement Activities.
• Demonstrate dependability and ensure consistent performance through regular attendance.
• Execute all duties and tasks while observing safety precautions, best practices, regulations, and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). All employees are responsible for knowing and adhering to Clinton Plant Safety Behaviors, and Clinton Plant cGMP’s. Strictly follow company and factory environmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s); handle all cleaning and waste materials properly.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Working knowledge of production and packaging equipment operation.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Ability to understand basic math operations.
• Physical and mental ability to safely and correctly operate equipment necessary to perform job.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Must be willing to actively participate in process improvements
• Exhibit respect, trust, integrity, and accountability
