We are a privately held, third-generation, family owned consumer products distributor and manufacturer's representative, that has been successful in our marketplace for over 45 years. We specialize in consumer electronics, housewares, and hardware products. Our customer community spans the retail, grocery, premium, promotional and incentive markets.



Reports To: VP Sales & Marketing

Position Summary

Under general supervision the Sales Account Manager’s primary responsibility is to create and to develop ongoing business relationships with existing and new business customers.

 

Summary of essential job functions

-Works to establish new business opportunities with existing and potential customers through cold calling, telemarketing, provided leads, networking and client/associate referrals.

-Develops and executes Action Sales Plan to achieve monthly and yearly quota requirements.

-Generates and maintains credible forecasts by account and factory and submits to upper management as required.

-Maintains an organized and easily accessible CRM database for the established territory/assigned account base. (Sales leads, prospective business, new business activity, add-on business activity, forecasting, quota details, etc.)

-Works closely with Client Service Team to assure customer satisfaction and business accountability.

-Proposes the proper solutions to customers by integrating Lapine’s capabilities and leveraging factory relationships to deliver solutions that meet and/or exceeds the customer’s needs.

-Proactively develops new customer contacts, reviews leads, protects territory and participates in increasing revenue stream within current accounts

-Actively participates in account reviews.

-Works to build long term relationships with customer base.

-Quotes accurate prices in a timely manner to customers.

-Coordinates the necessary resources to respond to major corporations, vertical markets (e.g. Finance, Real Estate, Technology, etc.) and exhibits leadership qualities to effectively direct people and projects.

-Assists management in developing new business ideas and accompanying marketing materials to achieve sales objectives.

-Maintains up-to-date knowledge base of entire product line(s).

-Attends industry and product related tradeshows, training programs, conferences, seminars and educational forums.

-Performs other duties and administrative tasks as assigned

-Demonstrate personal integrity, adheres to company policies including dress code and personal use of company owned equipment and represents the company in a way that is consistent with the company philosophy/vision statement.

-Policies, Processes & Procedures: Able to act in accordance with established guidelines, follow standard procedures in crisis situations, communicate and enforce organizational policies and procedures, recognize and constructively conform to unwritten rules or practices.
