Network Administrator / Help Desk Support

ShelterLogic, a leader in the development and sales of garages and shelters is seeking a Network Administrator/Help Desk Support candidate to join us on our Watertown, campus.

The position of Network Administrator / Help Desk Support is responsible for providing daily support and management of PC, Servers, LAN/WAN, and Telecom network systems in the Watertown, CT location. Under the leadership of the Director, Information Technology, the incumbent will also have responsibility for managing the network security, installing new software applications, distributing software upgrades, monitoring daily activity, enforcing licensing agreements, developing a storage management program and providing for routine backups. As well as assist in the development of as network business continuity solution to minimize disruption.

Essential Functions

• Provide hardware and software support.
• Install, configure and maintain desktops, laptops, operating systems, and software.
• Monitor and control user access (local & remote) to all ShelterLogic systems.
• Monitor the network processing activities and capacity levels.
• Perform daily backups of all systems.
• Assist in the documenting all policies and procedures as it relates to the network
• Provide internal network education and training.

Qualifications

• Qualified candidates will possess (or is pursuing) a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science;
• A+ Microsoft certification;
• Meaningful (at least two years) PC Hardware/Software troubleshooting experience
• IT infrastructure including Active Directory
• Client operating systems Windows 2000 and Windows XP
• Server operating systems Windows 2000 Server and Windows 2003
• Experience with MS/Exchange 2003
• Wireless experience (Blackberry’s preferred).
• Microsoft Office packages; and Mac/OSX (preferred)
• Cable/wiring, CISCO router expertise would be a plus
