An international consumer durable goods company has partnered withTewes Group Executive Search to identify a National Accounts Manager to call on large and medium sized retailers such as Target, Menards, Kmart, Blain’s Farm & Fleet, Mills Fleet Farm, Shopko and other similar retailers.  You would report to a Director of Sales and have no direct reports in this position.  The right person could live in Minneapolis, MN (Target), Eau Claire, WI (Menards), Madison or Milwaukee.  Experience with the named retailers, especially Target & Menards, would be best but we will consider talented sales professionals with other Mass or Big Box/DIY type experience.  Our client is an extremely successful Consumer Products Company headquartered in Madison, WI.  We seek those that work well independently, are aggresive, want to have ownership of their accounts, and have fun along the way.

 

We Desire…Those that want to grow with a company and first find success at the NAM level with hopes of  being a Director or VP of Sales at some point (not looking for those that have already been Directors,VP’s or where this would be a lateral career move)Proven track record of growing business within large (Target, Menards, Kmart) and medium sized (Blain’s & Mills) retail accounts.  We are NOT interested in those that have majority of experience with co-ops or smaller retailers.  One who is talented at cultivating new relationships and expanding existing relationshipsExperience managing Brokers or Independent Rep Groups-Building strong relationships to maximize distribution in key strategic channels An individual that works well and has been successful with limited or modest resources (people with some medium or smaller company experience possibly will be the best fit)Solid analysis and accurate forecasting experience/aptitudeAn individual that can deliver comprehensive sales plans & proposals that sell profitably for key customers and rep groups.A person that works well cross functionally.  You would be working extensively with Marketing, New Product Development, Operations/Supply Chain, Customer service and Sales areas. 

 

Required…

 

· Bachelors Degree

· Personable, analytical, detail orientated, strong organizational skills, knowledge of merchandising and retail.

· Ability to establish key contacts/relationships in all aspects of the business.

· Proficient in Microsoft suite of product including Excel, PowerPoint,

· Must be willing to travel up to 60%
