Marketing Communications Specialist

At the intersection of music, technology, video games, fashion, and rock is where we have staked our claim. We design, manufacture, and market musical products, instruments, and accessories for players of all ages. We¹re a musical lifestyle company, and we¹re looking for a writer who knows music and is equally comfortable writing a marketing newsletter or creating a drum assembly manual.

 

Here's who we'd like to hear from:

 

Minimum of 5 years experience with writing, proofing, and editing, with a portfolio that includes marketing, advertising, and consumer branding experience.  Prior work with children’s or teen products a plus! 

 

Conceptual thinker - Think well. Think fast.

 

Ability to work under tight deadlines with swiftly changing priorities.  How well can you juggle?

 

Ability to write for many different audiences ­ customers, musicians, buyers, executives ­ all with a ringing phone, in a busy office environment.

 

Eagle eye. Can you catch an extra space at 10 paces? Whats wrong with this sentence?

 

Self-starter - Take the bull by the horns and the tail, able to see a problem before it arrives and solve it. Come up with new solutions for problems we didn't even know were there.

 

You will be joining a group of talented, driven, fun-loving, and somewhat rowdy designers, writers, and developers.  You will produce, write, edit and proof all forms of written communications including product packaging and brochures, sales presentations, website content, training manuals, assembly instructions, dvd scripts and all other brand building collateral.

 

Prior experience for a consumer brand or agency environment servicing consumer products clients required.  Educational preparation should include a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master’s preferred.
