Manager Equipment Distribution and Refurbishment(This position is in PA.)

This position reports to the Director, Equipment Supply Chain and is responsible for equipment and service part distribution operations including the 2 primary DC’s and 75+ branch locations, refurbishment and configuration activities, international and domestic transportation and third party logistics service provider management.  The Sr Manager Distribution Operations is responsible for planning and directing operations including, but not limited to facility management, remanufacturing operations, inventory management of parts and machines, expense management and staffing plans that support organization objectives.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  Develops and implements assigned support operation business plans to achieve goals that are aligned with all channel business Provides input for equipment and  parts distribution strategies. Manages the distribution network including primary DC’s and branch operations to ensure timely and cost effective services are provided to internal and external customers. Establish and report KPI’s to drive performance in warehouse order fulfillment, inventory management, refurbishment productivity and quality, production scheduling and staffing requirements for continuous and uninterrupted service delivery. Drive LEAN process improvement and cost reduction opportunities. Establish and Maintain 3rd party service provider relationships including international and domestic freight and small parcel transportation, warehousing and logistics services. Prepare, distribute and analyze RFP packages for service needs as well as manage the negotiation, implementations and compliance of all 3rd party Logistics service provider contracts and rates. Develop and implement a quality service review program to track supplier performance and identify improvement opportunities. Develops fiscal expense budgets and ensures effective management within budget parameters.  Monitors and adjusts budget accordingly to maintain costs within company objectives.  Develops strategies to manage the operations to meet cost reduction goals while providing the highest level of service to customers. Responsible for site safety programs, initiatives and monthly safety meetings for all managed business concerns. Motivates and directs staff to cohesively support strategic customer care service objectives .  Directs  facility manager and supervisors to enhance skills/competencies and to set team performance objectives.  Recruits, hires, trains and develops competent personnel consistent with business needs and human resources policies. Qualifications:Minimum 7-10 years of management experience in fast paced customer focused environment BS/BA in Logistics, Supply Chain or Business related field Master’s Degree preferred LEAN or Six Sigma experience a plus Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Strong customer service and communication skills 3-5 years of 3rd party management 3-5 Transportation management experience Ability to travel up to 25%
