Mac Operator / Mac Pre-Press ProfessionalsLeading international Folding Carton and Packaging company is seeking experienced full and part time Mac pre-press professionals for its new, state of the art, pre-press facility for all shifts. Must be fully competent with all major DTP software, trapping, and RIPping customer files for CTP and digital proofing. Experience in pre-press for folding carton work using die layouts is desirable and experience in EskoArtworks ArtPro would be a definite plus. Considered candidates should have familiarity working with dies, have ability to understand the final functionality and mechanics of various folding carton designs, and how it relates to artwork. Job Description:
Mac Operator in Folding Carton and Packaging Pre-Press Department. This position is responsible for the accurate and timely production of digital proofs and CTP files, including die structure, trapping, some color correction, and RIPping. Using the latest DTP software on a Macintosh platform, troubleshoot, produce, and modify customer supplied files for digital proofs and CTP files for print production. The position is for the second shift 4:30pm to 1:00am.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will have at least 3 - 5 years experience in a folding carton pre-press manufacturing environment. They will be able to work well with department employees, management, and customers, have experience in pre-press operations in a sheet-fed printing company, be organized, quality oriented, and have excellent attention to detail, and must be proficient in Quark, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign. Knowledge of the printing and finishing process is essential. ArtPro knowledge is preferable, but willing to train the right person.
