Shilputsi is a leading executive search and human resource consulting firm with offices in the US and India.

 

Our client is a US based international food company, manufacturing and marketing their brand of natural, shelf stable, ready-to-eat packaged foods for the retail and institutional markets in the US. With an ISO and HACCP certified manufacturing and research facility, the company has been very successful in acquiring customers in the retail grocery sector and would like to continue expanding their portfolio of customers to non traditional channels.

 

We have been retained to recruit a Key Accounts Manager – Non Traditional channels. The position would ideally be based in the HQ in Connecticut but the company is willing to consider other cities for the right candidate

 

 

The Job:

 

The candidate will be responsible for all sales in the US for non traditional channels including camping/outdoor gear stores, C-stores, drug stores and specialty food/home goods outlets.  He/she will be responsible for achieving sales objectives as well as customer service.  

 

The company is in the growth mode and needs someone hands-on and motivated to drive sales management function. The position reports to the Vice President Sales

 

 

Qualifications & Experience:

 

The ideal candidate would have 10 years experience in the sales of packaged foods sold through either camping/outdoor gear stores, C-stores, drug stores and specialty food/home goods outlets. S/he should have excellent contacts and network specifically in these sectors. A successful track record in sales of packaged foods in these channels on a national level is essential.

 

The company already has an excellent sales team for other channels like grocery and supermarket chains etc. and we are looking for specialized experience as mentioned above.
