 JUNIOR DESIGNER

 

Entry level career opportunity to join a small, hands-on consumer products (soft goods) design team. Our fun, close knit four person industrial design team needs a junior designer.  The role will be to learn and support all design and production operations in a fast paced, international product development environment.

 

Key focus of this role will involve high volume documentation of product detail, clearing drawings for (international) factory manufacturing, serving as important communication interface in matrix environment.  Other responsibilities will include design sketching for new styles, CAD drawing of approved designs, supporting designers in development of new materials and reviewing samples.  Unlike many design environments, most of our product designs go right-to-market from our studio.

 

Required:

 BA/BS in Industrial Design.  Will also consider degree in Fashion/Apparel, Accessory Design, FurnitureRelated work experience (ex: coop or internship)Proficient w/Adobe Illustrator, MS OfficeSense of humor and willing to work hard learning a profession
