JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT

Denver, CO

I-70 and Havana

 

Responsibilities:

 Enter daily cash from general ledger.Download bank and credit card deposits.Input data from downloads (above) into cash transfer and credit spreadsheet.Review overages/shortages and contact store to research and resolve discrepancies.Prepare weekly cash deposit along with journal entry.Reconcile daily sales transactions between POS and G/L.Balance daily cash and credit card transactions between POS and G/L.Prepare monthly journal entries – cash transfers, credit card fees, cash overages/shortages.Research credit card or returned check disputes.Obtain and maintain business licenses for stores, sales and use tax licenses, order equipment as new stores open.Account reconciliations.Monthly and month-end journal entries.Other projects as assigned.



 

Qualifications:

 

Associates or Bachelors degree REQUIRED.

Advanced Excel spreadsheet skills.

Knowledge of AS400 and/or Oracle helpful (will be converting to Oracle later in the year).

Detail oriented & the willingness to perform a variety of tasks.

Strong professional communication skills required.

Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
