Installation Service Technician

Summary:
Responsible for the successful execution of the installation of Bosch (PAUD) projects on customer sites including Bosch equipment and other associated machines and initial training using technical, team building, customer interface and project management skills and product knowledge.

Duties:
 Provide Installation Team Support and leadership for PAUD Installation teams.Lead and manage Bosch installation team (staff and contractors) before, during and post install in such a manner to positively influence results for Bosch, the team and customer in terms of performance, scheduled and budget.Installation liaison to the Bosch Product Line team(s) providing equipment and training to the projects.Estimated travel to 75% of time out of Bosch plant representing the Bosch Product Team for installations and field audits. In-house involvement includes team interaction, installation preparation, assembly, testing, checkout (FAT), training development, training and test lab.Working with the Project Manager or team contact, function as the installation team lead person and customer liaison for machine checkout (FAT), installation training and commissioning while adhering to budget and time line.Conduct machine training or secure and manage contracted trainers.Interface with Product teams, Project Managers and customers to understand and communicate scope of project (initial project review, ongoing installation reviews, installation wrap up and post installation review.)Initiate and complete accurate and timely installation progress/review reports.Assure all appropriate documentation matches the machine as installed and commissioned.Maintain technical expertise and proficiency on new equipment designs and applications via internal training and utilization of engineering support.Continuous improvement liaison. Assisting within the development of peers and contractors to enhance skill sets. Development of processes and procedures associated with World Class installation including constructive analysis, input and advice.Observe and advise on competitive opportunities and the development of enhancement kits, design approaches, processes and procedures that enhance Bosch service and sales opportunities.Actively support sales efforts to sell initial spare parts kits and training packages.Other duties as assigned. (Field audits)

Qualifications:Packaging Machinery degree (2 years) or equivalent experience. Electrical engineering degree preferred or commensurate experience.Minimum of 5 years of experience in the packaging industry installing, trouble shooting installs, and PLC and motion control software and hardware.Knowledge and experience with Doboy and VFFS Packaging equipment preferred.Must have demonstrated advanced mechanical, electrical and software knowledge and skills with proven results.Must have the ability to manage people, time and work responsibilities for self and team.Strong controls background beneficial.Previous work in repair/maintenance of capital equipment, or electronics such as servo drives, HMI's and programmable controllers.Strong customer service focused oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel, from production to management.Maintain valid driver's license, clean driving record and passport without restrictions.
