Housefiles Circulation And Budgeting Analyst

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

Build and execute mailing plans for clients.  Develop budgets to project sales and profits.  Monitor, analyze, and communicate sales results to management.  Support the growth and profitability of clients and their businesses SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Develops semi-annual sales plans and associated marketing budgets for assigned catalogs.

  A.  Build mailing plan using extensive Excel worksheets.

  B.  Evaluate credit worthiness of buyers based on internal credit score.

  C.  Request data from Database programmers for input information to mailing plan.

  D.  Build mailing models using SAS or other statistical software to segment and optimize mailings to

                previous buyers.

  E. Build detailed budgets using Excel worksheets.

  F. Manage inputs from other key departments including customer acquisition, print production,

                accounting and Internet. 

  G.  Conduct pre-season planning meetings for their respective titles.

  H.  Conduct pre-season meetings to present status of current mailing plan and budget for their

                respective titles.

  I.  Explanation of variances versus budget.

  J. Track testing concepts and participate in creative development, placement and execution of tests.

2. Presents a semi-annual summary of prior season results.

  A.  Analysis of sales and profitability.

  B.  Explanation of variances versus budget.

  C.  Analysis of test results for assigned catalogs.

3. Re-forecasts sales on a weekly basis for inventory planning purposes for assigned titles.

4. Develop weekly sales and order projections for operations planning.

5. Participate in and contribute to cross-functional business strategy meetings. 

6. Participates in weekly meetings to prioritize marketing database query requests and improve the content and integrity of the marketing database.

7. Participates in a weekly mailing plan strategy meeting to share new ideas and analysis.

8. Participates in new initiatives as requested by Vice Presidents, Executive Directors, Senior Managers, and

        Managers.

9. Participate in weekly status update meetings with Marketing Services Manager and Specialists.

10. Maintains good housekeeping of work area.

11. Performs all assigned tasks in a safe manner according to company policy.

12. Enforces all company policies and procedures.

13. Documents all situations involving employee misconduct and performance problems according to company policy and procedures.

14. Performs all designated job duties and tasks in other departments as assigned to ensure operating efficiency of the Company and maximum utilization of Company personnel.  These assignments may be part of a formalized cross-training program or on, as needed, temporary basis.
