Brief Job Description:

Leadership Responsibilities:

· Direction of TSO Engineer and QA Inspector personnel

· Performance management and PA responsibilities for direct reports

 

cGMP Responsibilities from SOP QA 02-002

· Approving appropriate specifications and master production instructions, such as Packaging Material Specifications.

· Establishing a system to release or reject packaging or labeling materials.

· Validation: status of required validation/revalidation (e.g., packaging, manufacturing process, laboratory methods).

· Change Control: documenting; evaluating; approving; assessing need for revalidation.

· Rejects: expanding investigation where warranted; corrective action where appropriate.

· Reprocess/Rework: evaluating, reviewing and approving; impact on validation and stability.

· Returns/Salvages: assessment; investigation expanded where warranted; disposition.

· Complaint reviews (packaging): documenting; evaluating; investigating in a timely manner; includes corrective action where appropriate.

· Making sure that quality-related complaints concerning packaging designs over 1-year are investigated and resolved.

· Discrepancy and failure investigations related to packaging and testing: documenting; evaluating; investigating in a timely manner; including appropriate corrective action.

· Initiating, conducting, and closure of any CAPA investigation assigned.

· Product Improvement Projects: for marketed products

· Performing finished good audits to monitor manufacturing quality to assess packaging capability of manufacturing locations.

· Releasing or rejecting all drug products for use outside the control of KBC based on the results reported on the Certificates of Analysis from the manufacturer.

· Participating in internal audits or self inspections.

 

Additional Responsibilities:

· Based on the results reported on the Certificates of Analysis from the manufacturer, releasing or rejecting all drug products, for use outside the control of KBC.

· Coordinating discussions concerning quality issues on package components with the vendors.

· Attending package component validation runs at the vendor.

· Performing finished good audits to monitor manufacturing quality.

· Assessing packaging capability of manufacturing locations.

·  Testing or validating the supplier’s test results for components, containers, and closures on drug products.

 

Qualifications:BS or MS in (Packaging, Industrial or Mechanical) Engineering.5+ years of experience, preferably with a personal care products company.Project management certification and experience preferred.Experience with plant trials, start-ups, quality audits, supplier assessments.Demonstrated ability to work in cross functional teams.Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under evolving business priorities.Ability to travel on short notice to suppliers and third party manufacturers a must.
