Financial Analyst (Franklin, MA)

The Financial Analyst will provide analytical and financial support to multiple operating groups within the Dairy Group to assist them in making sound business decisions.  This support will utilize the employee’s skills in critical reasoning and financial analysis. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for: (1) analyzing operations on both a group and departmental level to identify opportunities for improvement while constantly monitoring under-performing assets, (2) preparing customer profit and loss statements to assist in formulating pricing strategy for individual customers and market segments, (3) managing the monthly reporting process to ensure metrics required by group operations are identified and tracked, (4) developing financial models to support the weekly forecasting of sales, revenue, and income by operating group, (5) undertaking special projects as required, and (6) other duties as assigned. The Financial Analyst will work closely with and for the Director of Field Finance and the Finance Manager.  Additionally, the Financial Analyst will regularly support the Group Vice President and General Managers while working with the Lead Area Controller, Area Controllers, and other staff members including Distribution, Human Resources, Plant Operations, and Sales.  Additionally, the Financial Analyst will occasionally work with the Dairy Group’s Corporate Finance and Planning staff to ensure consistency in reporting and complete special projects as required. The Financial Analyst will be intimately involved in developing operating budgets for groups with annual revenues ranging from $800 million to $1.3 billion. These operating budgets include revenue forecasts, expense projections, and capital projects. The Financial Analyst will be responsible for providing functional advice and assisting the training of other employees. The Financial Analyst will have no direct authority regarding financial expenditures.  Job Requirements: Education – an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.  An advanced degree related to business is preferred. 4 - 8 years experience in a financial role such as auditing, accounting or corporate planning. Experience with consumer products, food service, or manufacturing and familiarity with a fast-paced environment is preferred. Must be proficient with interpreting and disseminating financial statements as well as calculating and auditing financial metrics. Strong analytical, critical reasoning, and financial modeling skills.  Must be proficient with interpreting and disseminating financial statements as well as calculating and auditing financial metrics.
