Responsible for: Performing tasks and providing services to support the plant’s overall business plans and objectives, which include:Contributes to the high-responsibility work environment through participation in star point teams, process improvement efforts, and the conflict resolution process.  Completes required training in a timely fashion, including compliance, team skills and structured on-the-job training (SOJT).Installs and maintains high-speed industrial process equipment for plastic containers, power, control, and logic circuits for all production process and support equipment.  Troubleshoots, adjusts, and repairs all electrical equipment, solid state circuits, components, logic boards, transducers, amplifiers, and complex timing and inspection devices.  Performs preventative maintenance on assigned electrical systems, production equipment, facility, and grounds as required. Develops training program to enhance knowledge of other mechanics.Performs on-the-job training and development of assigned personnel and trains process technicians to troubleshoot production equipment.  Performs clean-up, painting and housekeeping duties.  Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the division, the group, and the company.  Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others so as to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflicts.Assures and maintains safe and healthful working conditions while enforcing safety rules and regulations.

·  Working hours may vary as specified by management.  Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management.

Minimum Requirements:

· Experienced electrician

·  Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair facilities equipment

·  Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical components

·  Experience with, and working knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

·  Electrical and Programming requirements (1 year experience in the following areas):

-  Demonstrate proficiency with AC and DC drives

-  Demonstrate proficiency in reading and understanding electrical schematics

-  Demonstrate proficiency in troubleshooting and programming PLC’s, Allen Bradley SLC 500 and PLC 5

-  Demonstrate the ability to install and troubleshoot frequency drives

-  Experience working with industrial voltage (480v)

-  Familiarity with NEC
