Director of Procurement and Distribution

City - Miami, FL Salary $90,000 - 110,000 + Bonus Structure Major group seeks a Director of Procurement and distribution to provide the strategic vision and leadership to achieve the integration of business processes from end user through original suppliers. Responsibilities for vendor relationships and the evaluation of products, services, and information flow to operations. This position is responsible for ensuring a continuous supply of products provided at the lowest possible cost including the planning and forecasting of production while adhering to the quality requirements of the applicable concept. The individual selected for this role will contribute to the growth and profitability of the company by optimizing distribution efficiency through managing all distribution activities for five centers of operations. While building a team to support the growth and development of additional centers.  Successful candidate must have 5-10 years experience in all categories of Food Service Purchasing, Vendor negotiations, understanding of branded purchasing, streamlining line items and cost relationships.  In addition, previous purchasing experience specifically with in the restaurant industry and experience in a warehouse/distribution facility are also optimal. This Major Group is looking for an individual who has prior experience managing transitional environments into successful results driven environments and who is also knowledgeable about current purchasing technology and future technology trends.  This role reports directly to the Vice President and is based in Miami-Dade County.
