Job Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Business/Strategic Management Contact Information Company: CORESTAFF Services Email: Apply by Email Job Description Director of Distribution - Relocation Available Major corporate headquarters located in downtown Houston is in need of a Director of Distribution.  The Director, Distribution is accountable for supporting Supply Chain continuous improvement initiatives that will result in improving customer service, supply chain processes and cost reductions by providing training, demonstrated expertise and documented success for Distribution related activities. Leads, facilitates and executes projects using lean / six sigma principles and processes to deliver results. Provides leadership and training in lean distribution, inventory management, distribution best practices, international distribution process improvement and management.  Oversees lean six sigma Project Manager’s projects and responsibilities.  Develops and implements consistent and rigorous metrics for all materials related functions throughout Cooper Industries. Background Required:· 10 years of progressive Supply Chain positions · Certified Lean Distribution with proven track record of significant net productivity savings (3 yrs)· North American Distribution experience (4 yrs) Distribution related contract negotiations Network consolidation / rationalization Demonstrated understanding of data capability and data integrity improvements Experienced in inventory management / accuracy / capability Knowledge of SAP Access / SQL capable· Ability to travel 50% - 75%· Education: BS Engineering or Finance· Residence: Houston, TX (relocation assistance provided)  Background Preferred (but not required):· Manufacturing Management in high SKU/high volume · Electrical, Electronics, Automotive, or Power Tools Manufacturing· 3PL negotiations· International distribution· Distribution Experience· MBA/MS Other essential abilities and skills:· Excellent analytical, problem solving and facilitation skills· Motivational leader, team management and implementation skills· Demonstrated talent developer and mentor· Excellent communicator - written, oral, and presentation· Results driven (demonstrated above average capability)· Strategic thinker/tactical achiever· Promotable to senior position · Willing to relocate Perm position – 110-120K/yr.Relocation availablePlease email resumes to houtechresumes@corestaff.com CareersDiscover the freedom, the flexibility and opportunity available through temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire assignments at CORESTAFF.
