Director, Int'l Supply Chain

TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, YOU “MUST HAVEâ€� EXPERIENCE: Working for a Consumer Products Company International Experience in Africa, India and/or Europe Fluency in several languages: English, Spanish, French, Italian, etc. ERP – JD Edwards experienceResponsibilities:Serve as primary Supply Chain lead for specific International Supply Chain projects that are strategic and that will significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness of working capital management. The function will also establish, monitor, and report on common supply chain / operational metrics and will serve to align with U.S. and Finance related metrics.  In addition, the position will serve to evaluate current processes and procedures to better align with internal / external vendors, 3PL partners, and customers with the aim to improve service while reducing working capital requirements. Analyze and optimize processes in forecast/replenishment planning in order to align with internal/external vendors Support with analysis of cost reduction initiatives including possible 3PL alternatives to service Latin America Guide and support Europe on evaluation of a Pan Europe 3PL strategy that will support existing and projected new geographies Support Europe with best practices and guidance on inventory management and planning applications Consolidate International supply chain metrics and support/monitor SBUs on initiatives to achieve metric goals and objectives Communicate cross-functionally any supply problems as they relate to demand/supply. Establish and maintain Logility dashboard for International Support New Geographies to establish/communicate supply chain processes and procedures Team with New Product Development to facilitate smooth new product launches and transitions. Team with International SBUs and Shared Services Supply Chain to address vendor capacity limitation issues as they arise.Qualifications: MBA Degree (required) with 5-7 years experience in supply chain for consumer goods Strong knowledge / experience with forecasting models and applied statistics / Make vs. Buy Modeling Keen understanding of inventory management, international logistics and 3PL operations Solid analytical and quantitative capabilities Strong interpersonal and communications skills and a keen ability to interact with internal constituencies including Finance, Sales, Marketing Strong presentation skills Strong leadership and team working skills to address issues and conflicts as they arise Assertive and responsive to address issues that affect the business 15-25% International travel will be required Cost Accounting experience/knowledge requiredTechnical requirements Proficiency with databases (query and reporting software) - REQUIRED.
