Director-Human Resources
Palermo Villa Inc. d/b/a Palermo's Pizza is a fast growing privately owned frozen pizza manufacturer based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin with 360 employees.  We are looking for a bilingual spanish/english, hands-on Human Resource Generalist and leader to manage a small human resource department under the guidance of the Vice President of Administration. This position provides Human Resource administrative, operational and tactical support to managers and employees of the company.Â
With a minimum of 10 years HR experience, with the last 5 years as a leader in the role of HR Manager or Director, this incument will provide comprehensive hands on support in all aspects of Human Resources in support of the Company's vision and mission.
We prefer CPG food manufaturing experience.  A minimum of a bachelor's degree, with a master's preferred. Fluency in Spanish is a must. Attention to detail; great attitude; desire to manage growth; previously served in an executive capacity; strong analytical skill set; proficient in project management methodology; time management skills; customer service orientation; forward thinking; excellent written and oral communications skills; effective presentation skills; professionalism; approachable—good listener, easy to talk to, makes effort to put others at ease, warm, pleasant and gracious.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:• Develop, recommend and implement HR policies and procedures in support of corporate strategy in order to meet business objectives.Ensure that HR procedures are administered consistently throughout the company and work to put best practices in place by maintaining oversight of the core HR functions of policy, compensation, benefits, staffing, executive recruitment, employee relations, management training, organization development, payroll, HRIS and compliance. • Work closely with Manufacturing management to develop HR practices, policies and work rules that create an outstanding quality of work life for our plant floor employees.• Work with the VP of Administration to Identify organization needs and develop strategies, processes and tools that support business objectives.• Provide direction on recruitment strategy, employee relations programs, employment law and compliance as well as on assessment, training, diversity and succession initiatives.• Administer policies and procedures for sourcing, employment, placement and transfer of employees to ensure adequate staffing to meet personnel requirements. Ensure adherence to all federal, state and local regulations governing the employment process.• Assist in the development and implementation of organization-wide employee relation’s policies and practice, including communication within the office and plant operations via meetings, handbooks, and other appropriate communication media.• Assist in the creation of a learning environment via appropriately identified employee and management training programs.• Assist in the administration of the Performance Management Initiative, including performance reviews, bonus, gain sharing and the like.• Manage the benefit and welfare programs.• Research human resource, business and industry trends to ensure a competitive position for recruitment and selection.• Coach and counsel employees, supervisors and managers for the purpose of professional and personal development. • Establish mentor relationship and monitoring programs for high potential employees.* Manage a staff of 2 full time HR staff, 1 receptionist, 1 seasonal professional and temporary help as required.
