Director, Engineering

We currently are seeking a dynamic, strategic and innovative Director, Engineering. This key position will be based in our manufacturing facilities in San Fernando (Southern CA).

As Director, Engineering, you will be responsible for the following activities:

· Provides overall strategic direction to the customer service and warehousing groups in the areas of:

–  Organizational structure and talent management (performance and succession planning) to deliver the business’ strategy, operating plan and medium-term objectives.

–  Transforming from tactical to strategic value oriented.

–  Developing capabilities (functional and managerial) to operate in diverse circumstances and industries.

–  Creating an energizing work environment along with an innovative, efficient and flexible organization.

· Manages the engineering functions for operations and R & D.

· Develops capital project plan that meets future needs of the business through close coordination with manufacturing, finance, R&D, and marketing departments.

·Provides support to other groups within operations to facilitate customer service, departmental and corporate objectives.

·Coordinates and manages all utility, permitting and regulatory requirements as they relate to the facilities and manufacturing process.

·Develops and maintains suitable engineering resources that will ensure that Pharmavite creates a competitive advantage within the industry through its manufacturing assets and innovative processes.

·Delivers area financial commitments to business operating plans, financial cycles and medium-term financial frameworks.

–  Provides operating cost forecasts with objective risk analysis as well as area budgets for each relevant financial cycle.

–  Manages and proactively communicates any variances to that forecast.

Education:

Requires a four year college or university degree or its equivalent in an engineering field. An MBA or MS in a business related field is preferred.





Experience:



Requires more than 8 years experience in a maintenance and/or engineering related discipline

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Requires:



· Strong supervisory and communication skills.

· Experienced in managing complex capital projects.

· Comprehensive knowledge in related equipment, facilities, and systems within the mechanical, electrical fields.

· Short and long range planning and resource re-deployment skills.

· Sound understanding and experience in GMPs, SOPs, safety, hazardous materials, and regulatory requirements.
