Summary:
The DFS District Sales Manager is responsible for Benefit retail sales development in DFS downtown and airport stores.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
-Results-Sets productivity goals and measures individuals and team success according to the goal(s)Assess and adjust goal(s) as team changes, grows & developsAchieve daily/ monthly/ yearly sales goalsAchieve monthly/ yearly/ expense target
-Management-Lead by example Teach, coach, motivate and develop employeesContribute to the growth, learning and success of othersConsistently review performance of team membersKeep commitments and build high expectations in self and othersAlways be approachable and an effective two way communicatorExpress ideas and information clearly and effectively
-Business Acumen-Develop and communicate a clear course of actionPersuade others through influence and collaboration as opposed to command and controlDevelop a business strategy and a plan to execute itEnsure the Promotional Calendar is planned based on sales goals and previous year salesWork with Account Planner to ensure stock levels are accurate and that top 50 skus are always in stockEffectively lead teams to ensure that all corporate initiatives are met
-Recruitment-Hire, orient, develop and retain people at all levels; Beauty Artist(s), Counter Manager(s)Ensure that all counters are appropriately staffed with the right people in a timely manner and with the support, when necessary, of the Host StoreFollow all company and store policies and procedures as well as all Host Store Policies, when necessaryNegotiate staffing levels based on productivity targets, trends and opportunities with the Host Store, when necessary
-Training-Build a trained and educated staff through on and off site trainingEnsure the Benefit motto is actively being used for all training purposesMaintain the consistency and standards of the 8 Step Magic Selling FormulaInspire and train employees by setting the example of excellent service and sales and through team sellingCoach team(s) on executing and maintaining the 8 steps to a successful day
-Communication and Relationships with Outside Customers-Establish and maintain good working relationships with the following DFS Store employees:Regional Merchandise Manager(s)Store Manager(s) Buyer(s)Planner(s)Host Store Staffing & Human Resources
