Corporate SOX Staff Accountant
As a Corporate SOX Staff Accountant at the Jostens facility in Bloomington, you’ll be responsible for providing internal control compliance support to the SOX team. That support will include assisting in internal control testing, maintenance and updates to internal control documentation, and preparation of internal control reporting and system maintenance using SharePoint. You’ll also provide accounting and reporting support to the Corporate Finance department, including assisting in the preparation of the internal monthly consolidated financial package using a mix of software reporting tools, and preparing various monthly account reconciliations, including the research and resolution of reconciling items. You’ll perform various month-end close duties including cash clearing cleanup, fixed asset maintenance and manual journal entry input, and assist in various finance-related projects as requested by the Manager or Director in the Corporate Accounting Department. Requirements for this position include a 4-year degree in Accounting, and two to four years of relevant experience, including public accounting and internal control and audit experience. You must have excellent computer skills, with extensive knowledge of Excel and the ability to learn database concepts, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with intermediate levels and functions in the organization. We’ll call on your skills to plan, organize and implement, as well as your solid aptitude for numbers, strong attention to detail, and solid analytical and problem-solving skills.You must also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with intermediate levels and functions in the organization, and excellent computer skills, with extensive knowledge of Excel, and the ability to learn database concepts. This position requires that you be able to travel 10-15%.
