Commodity Buyer

In this position, the Commodity Buyer will be responsible for strategically managing the partner base for a commodity across multiple facilities throughout the Americas as well as maintaining the sourcing program for a subset of clients.

• Present monthly commodity report to Americas Supply Chain Manager including consumption by site and client and spend by partner, trends in manufacturing equipment and material technology, relevant futures tracking, approved vendor list compliance, etc.

• Establish new and maintain existing relationships with partners via executing standard agreements

• Design and execute e-auctions

• Maintain relevant commodity based ISO work instructions

Requirements

*Experience in project management and commodities management

*Bachelor’s degree in business administration

*Minimum of 5 years of sourcing and procurement experience

*Proficient PC skills, including MS Office

*Ability to participate in cross-functional teams

*Understanding of supply chain management principles

*  Global experience and/or exposure preferred

*Ability to speak and read English proficiently

*Demonstrate proficiency with ERP systems (SAP preferred)

* APICS or NAPM/ISM certification strongly preferred

* 20-30% travel required

*  Ability to thrive in a fast paced and fluid/changing environment

*  Ability to function effectively both as an individual contributor and team member
