Commercial Development Analyst

Koch Mineral Services, LLC subsidiaries specialize in marketing and trading coal, petroleum coke, various carbon products, cement and related materials, fertilizer, sulfur, and pulp and paper financial derivatives, in addition to nitrogen fertilizer manufacturing and dry bulk ocean transportation and logistics. Its subsidiaries operate terminals and docks located along the U.S. Pacific Coast, Great Lakes and Gulf Coast, as well as northern Europe and South America. In addition to expanded nitrogen fertilizer production and storage capacity in North America, affiliates also have interests in Trinidad and Tobago and Venezuela. In total, the company's fertilizer interests have the capability of producing about 7.5 million metric tons of nitrogen products annually. Koch Mineral Services is looking for a motivated and self driven Commercial Development Analyst. This position offers the opportunity to be a key player on a business development team responsible for driving growth to achieve company vision. The successful candidate will focus on supporting growth initiatives across Koch Minerals’ businesses with primary focus on supporting Koch Exploration Company, the upstream oil & gas business, and secondary focus on other KMS businesses. The roles and responsibilities will include financial analysis of investment / divestiture opportunities, opportunity identification, commercial contract analysis, industry and market analysis to support long-term point of view development, and other special projects to support base business and growth initiatives.Job Requirements: • Strong business analysis and financial modeling skills • Polished verbal and written communication skills • Demonstrated critical thinking skills • Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint • Team player • 100% compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and standards • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field involving quantitative analysis Preferred • At least one year of work experience in a similar role • Quantitative analytical skills and experience building business valuation models • Prior transaction experience and/or business development experience • Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field involving quantitative analysis Compensation/Benefits Competitive wages and benefits packages commensurate with experience.
