CPG Distribution Manager - HAWAII

To establish, implement, and maintain a cost effective distribution system that will achieve customer satisfaction and ensure product integrity while achieving financial budget(s).  SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: Responsible for the distribution of refrigerated and frozen products throughout Hawaii to include outer island branch locations operating with multiple manufacturing and outside storage facilities. Key result areas – overtime, route dumps, customer returns, sales, customer satisfaction, safety, and distribution cost as a percent of sales, cost per gallon, cost per mile, etc.  Responsible for fleet department – cost effective operation of a repair and maintenance shop providing service to the Hawaii operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Establish interdepartmental coordination to maximize efficiencies and customer service. Control and monitor the effectiveness of the route systems employed. Maintain compliance with all Corporate, State and DOT rules and regulations, including but not limited to: Driver Qualification Program, drug testing, hours of service, accident recording, and safety program. Maintain compliance with all Corporate, and Regional department reporting requirements. Responsible for fleet procurement, the maintenance shop and preventive maintenance programs and files. Prepares budgets for the Distribution and Transportation Departments and ensures that each is met. Bachelor's degree required 3+ years multi-site product distribution / transportation experience required 2+ years experience related to distribution cost associated with sales, cost per product and cost per transportation.
