Business to Business Sales Representative Position Available at ITW!

ITW/Signode Packaging Systems Sales, a Fortune 200 Company and the world’s leading manufacturer of steel/plastic strapping and packaging machinery, has a career opportunity for an outgoing, organized, self-motivated Sales Representative based in St. Louis, Missouri, covering St. Louis and surrounding area.

 

Direct sales responsibilities to included but not limited to the following:

· Compose and present detailed proposals on a regular basis as well as conduct in person sales presentations to multi-level contact base from line workers to CEO.

· Sell in highly competitive environment where true value added selling is critical.

· Demonstrate thorough understanding of manufacturing through all levels, selling in a diverse factory/manufacturing environment, including meat packing, glass, foundry, lumber, printing etc.

· Understand mechanical equipment with periodic hands on packaging equipment/tool involvement.

· Develop new account sales, equating to 40-50% of selling efforts. The remaining 50-60% of time related to further development of existing account base

 

Minimum qualifications include:

· Minimum of two years of Business to Business sales experience required, industrial sales experience a plus.

· Bachelors Degree in business, marketing or a related field.

· Solid verbal and written communication skills are required. 

· Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.

· Previous computer experience with MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), as well as basic math skills.

· The ability to lift up to 60 lbs.

· Travel in a large geographic area with 35-45,000 miles of automobile travel annually and 8+ overnight stays per month.
