Blown Film Process Engineer

QUALIFICATIONSThis position requires a BS degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science/Engineering, Materials Engineering or Textile Engineering. Exposure to Six Sigma or Lean principles is highly desirable. 3 years of hands-on experience in a plastic extrusion environment (can be monofilament, multi-filament, blown or cast film, tape or sheet extrusion).
RESPONSIBILITIESYou will be responsible for leading the process engineering activities at the company’s prime plastic extrusion facility by analyzing processes, identifying and characterizing problem areas and making recommendations and implementing optimal changes and improvement. You will work closely with the company’s product management team and a variety of customers to provide product modification to meet the customer’s need.  Additionally, you will modify products to match the customer’s needs, specify resin grade and qualify the suppliers, coordinate continuous improvement of raw materials lead the continuous improvement of existing process technology
