Backup Recovery Specialist

Work as part of a centralized team responsible for the backup and potential recovery of data associated with Koch Industries’ computing environments. Implement backup solutions on Unix/Linux systems, monitor for successful completion of backups, perform data restores, and work with host and applications teams as required. Build and maintain a working relationship with Koch companies to understand disaster recovery requirements and implement solutions to meet various needs and demands. Responsibilities also include consulting with Koch businesses regarding capabilities, disaster recovery, and associated costs with providing these services. Must also be able to conduct investigations and resolve issues related to backup and recovery. At least 2 years of experience working with Data Protector and DR in a large enterprise. After-hours and weekend On-call rotation is required. Knowledge-sharing, willingness to learn, and business-client focus are required traits. DataProtector (Required) Tivoli Storage Manager (Desired) Oracle RMAN integration (Desired) SAP BRBackup integration RMAN (Desired) OS: AIX, HP-UX, Solaris Competencies: Problem Solving,Candor/Integrity,Sense of Urgency,Team Work,Communicating BA/BS in MIS, Computer Science, Math or related fields or equivalent experience.
