Assistant Store Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES

*Coordinate the on-line duties of the scoop shop staff for their shift, ranging from 2 to 15 employees

*Support the Retail Store Manager and participate in the orientation and training of scooping staff and shift leaders

*Maintain the daily operation for their shift including store and staff appearance, proper cash handling procedures, customer service, cleanliness, compliance with all safety and operating standards, merchandising and production of waffle cones, novelties and baked goods.

*Assist as requested by the Store Manager in the implementation of the store marketing plan with an emphasis on marketing the store in the local community through innovative donations and special event programs.

*Assist the Store Manager with the end of the month inventory count and financial month closing process.

*Work on special projects as assigned by the Retail Store Manager.  These may include but not limited to spreadsheet tracking, presentations at staff meetings and staff memos.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

-At least 2 years food service/retail/hospitality experience with a minimum of 6 months supervisory/coaching experience

-High school diploma/GED

-Must be able to lift 15lbs routinely and up to 30 lbs occasionally
