Application Development Manager
Delta Faucet has an outstanding opportunity for an Application Development Manager within the Information Service department at its Indianapolis corporate office. The Application Development Manager ensures top quality and timely programming and application design services are provided to the corporation through the management and coaching of the application development team. Delta Faucet has a "shared services" model for the allocation of its application development resources. Reporting to the Vice President of Information Services, this position manages development teams in both the US and our Guangdong, China facilities. Delta utilizes JD Edwards as well as Websphere, i2, Blue Martini, Siemens TeamCenter PLM, Manhattan Warehouse Management and WebMethods as core applications.Accountabilities: • Serves as the lead point of contact for internal consumers of Application Development services; evaluates and prioritizes requests for these services. Develops strong working relationships with internal customers. • Plans, directs, and reviews work for the Application Development team; assigns work, reviews and evaluates resulting work product. • Develops, recommends, and administers policies and procedures for the Application Development team. • Monitors and evaluates the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery methods and procedures; recommends appropriate service and staffing levels. • Participates in the development and administration of the Application Development Team’s annual budget; participates in the forecast of funds needed for staffing, equipment, materials, and supplies; monitors and approves expenditures; implements adjustments. • Manages staff training and development. The ideal candidate will possess a 4-year degree and 7+ years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. The incumbent must possess broad technical knowledge of applicable operating systems and software in order to answer technical questions related to projects and applications; JD Edwards, Java based application and web services development experience highly beneficial. Previous experience mentoring team members to meet or exceed project goals and maintaining a cohesive team, influencing peers and building solid working relationships required for successful execution of role. Strong project management skills and ability to manage competing priorities and communicate status to customers required. Excellent presentation, written and oral skills required.
