Accounting Assistant / Control Analyst $40-45k!!

My client is a very large company located in the Baltimore County area and they are searching for an Accounting Assistant & Control Analyst.  Both positions are in the very large Credit Department.  Please review the requirements below and send resumes in Word format for consideration.  My client would like a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business and 1-3 years of experience. Control Analyst: Supports US and Canadian financial functions in Credit & Collection Dept through lockbox balancing, G/L interface, system maintenance of customer banking information, maintenance of terms issues and month end balancing and reporting responsibilities.  Balance lockbox receipts; verify incoming EDI billings; verify deposits for Canada; research & identify customer payments; sort and distribute reports; process terms changes Accounting Assistant:Provide support for the Financial Services Manager & the Credit Department in this multi-functional role that includes reconciling G/L accounts to ensure compliance, assisting with maintenance of dating terms changes, assisting in sales tax audit compliance, reconciling cash reports and journal entries at month end and as needed.  Also responsible for pulling Dun & Bradstreet reports, report distribution and assisting on special projects.  Position Duties:·  Reconcile various G/L accounts and investigate variances·  Assist in preparing month end close reconciliations and reports·  Assist in ensuring SOX compliance·  Reconcile daily cash application to G/L Built on more than 30 years of expertise, The Mergis Group is a specialty recruiting firm committed to helping professionals make the best career choices.
