Account Executive (Queens)

Federated Group is a premier Private Label food brokerage firm specializing in the grocery, drug, and foodservice industries. Working with retailers, distributors, wholesalers, and manufacturers, Federated Group provides programs and services in a variety of areas: retail grocery, foodservice, design, and supply chain consolidation. 

In joining our team you will be critical to our success of executing and supporting our customer’s private label program in the College Point, NY area (Queens). We are looking for a sales/account executive whom will be responsible for ensuring product display(s) and plan-o-grams comply with company standards at assigned stores. Will manage store demos and biweekly ads; handle merchandise promos, test merchandise, and advertising; identify customer needs & issues, track sales trends; work with sales to promptly develop appropriate solutions; identify and assist in qualifying new business opportunities through analysis of market data and present new products to Director of Procurement; assist customer with expanding the customer’s export business and source alternative low cost supplier internationally.

A successful candidate will be someone who takes initiative, have the ability to foster positive customer relationships, and delivers results.  This challenging position calls for a self directed and energetic person with excellent communication skills.

A minimum of two-years’ sale experience, preferably in consumer products good industry.  Knowledge of the retail grocery business a plus. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to travel, to include overnight.

 

An ideal candidate will have the ability to recognize and rapidly respond to customer needs while managing multiple activities simultaneously with little or no direction.  You must have strong presentation, listening, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills.
