ART DIRECTOR – SPORTS & ENTERTAINMENT
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Art Director is responsible for creating, designing and managing key projects and products for the Graphic Services department, which are consistent with marketing strategies and brand objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Create, review and approve card and packaging designs based on marketing strategy.
· Manage projects and organize work flow from external design firms according to published schedules.
· Provide creative designs for products and sales related material.
· Review card and packaging composition proofs and indicate necessary corrections.
· Design and coordinate specific creative as outlined by the team.
· Create electronics designs and load database with detailed product technology information.
· Ensure the inclusion of a strong creative concept or idea for every project assigned. Organize and conduct presentations to internal staff, upper management and external business partners. Coordinate packaging, design, and ad materials, and see the projects through from concept to completion. Work closely with the team to better engineer products in terms of cost, quality and uniqueness. Ensure that jobs are produced within budget requirements and shipped on time. Compose and retouch cards as needed for high end products.
Skills & Abilities
· Outstanding design skills with demonstrated creativity.
· Proven ability to multi-task, juggle multiple projects and effectively determine priorities.
· Excellent communication skills – written and oral.
· Strong computer skills.
· Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
· Proven ability to work within a team structure.
Education & Qualifications
· 3-5 years experience in a similar role.
· BA/BS or equivalent in Graphics, Art, or related field.
· Working knowledge of In Design, CTP, Photoshop, Quark Express and MS Office.
· Sports knowledge a plus.
